Clay Bricks Descriptions
Clay bricks are made from clay clinker aggregate and sagger bonder, containing 30%~48% of Al2O3, 50%~65% of SiO2 and small amount of alkali metal, alkali earth metal oxides(TiO2, Fe2O3). Clay bricks are the most widely used refractory bricks with the largest output, can be divided into low creep clay brick, blast furnace clay brick, hot blast furnace clay brick, glass kiln clay brick and carbon furnace clay bricks, etc. The refractory properties of clay bricks varies significantly, which is reduced by the chemical composition and production craft. For example, the refractoriness of clay bricks is between 1580℃~1750℃, the URL temperature is between 1250℃~1450 ℃. Clay bricks are acidic refractory products, the acidity increases with the increase of SiO2 content. So clay bricks have certain acidic slag corrosion resistance, but bad alkaline slag corrosion resistance.
Blast Furnace Clay Bricks
Blast furnace clay bricks are used in the small blast furnace lining, furnace throat, furnace shaft, furnace hearth, furnace bottom, large scale blast furnace shaft, etc.
Clay bricks used in blast furnace should have high cold compression strength and endure the abrasion of material loading, small volume shrinkage under long term high temperature working condition, low apparent porosity, low Fe2O3 content, etc.
