Carbon Brick Description

Carbon bricks raw material are coke, anthracite or graphite and tar. carbon brick is produced by mixing, forming and sintering at 1450℃ in reduction flame, with a carbon content of 88%~90%. Carbon bricks have high refractoriness, good thermal and electricity conductivity, excellent thermal shock resistance, low linear change, good high temperature strength, abrasion resistance, excellent acid, alkali, salt and organic solvent corrosion resistance, molten metal and slag corrosion resistance. Carbon bricks can be divided into blast furnace carbon brick, electric furnace carbon block, alumina electrolytic bath carbon block and so on. Blast furnace consumes the largest amount of carbon bricks,  a lot of blast furnace bottom, furnace body are built by carbon bricks. Carbon bricks used in blast furnace feature good high temperature strength, good high temperature volume stability and can prolong blast furnace service life.

Carbon Brick Applications

Carbon bricks are widely used in metallurgic industry, as well as aluminum electrolytic bath. Blast furnace carbon bricks are usually used to build furnace bottom and furnace hearth. Blast furnace carbon bricks feature good high temperature strength, good high temperature volume stability, can increase continuous working time and prolong blast furnace service life. Carbon bricks can also be used in iron alloy electric furnace, lining of phosphorous and soluble phosphatic fertilizer manufacturing electric furnace and lining of aluminum electrolytic bath, etc. Moreover, carbon bricks are also widely used in pickling bath and plating bath of electroplating industry, dissolving bath of paper industry, reaction bath and storage tank of chemical industry, high pressure autoclave of petrochemical industry, etc.
