1. Coke Furnace Silica Bricks

Coke furnaces silica bricks are made by silica material which’s main crystalline phase is tridymite and are used for the masonry of furnace body. About 6o~70% of refractory material used in modern coke furnaces are Silica bricks. Coke furnace silica bricks are mainly used for the masonry of regenerator chamber, access ramp, combustion chamber, carbonization chamber and furnace top, etc.

Coke Furnace Silica Bricks Characteristics

High rupture under load: coke furnace silica bricks should endure high temperature environment and the locomotor load of coal car working on furnace top, and should not deformed in long term service time, so high rupture under load is required.

High thermal conductivity: The coke is produced in the carbonization chamber by the heat conducted by combustion chamber wall, so the silica bricks used for the masonry of combustion chamber should have high thermal conductivity.

Good thermal shock resistance: Coke furnace need to periodically load coal and unload coke, the temperature change of combustion chamber wall is drastic, so coke furnace silica bricks should have good thermal shock resistance.

Stable high temperature volume.

2.Hot Blast Furnace Silica Brick

Hot blast furnace hot air temperature is increasing in recent years, when air temperature is higher than 1200℃, traditional high alumina refractory bricks can’t meet the working environment, so silica bricks which have low creep, high strength and good thermal shock resistance are popularly used in large scale hot blast furnace top, separation wall regenerator wall upper parts.
