Cement production technology has gone through many times of change, as the calciner of clinker , from the soil  vertical kiln with intermittent working method to predecomposition kiln. The new type dry-process kiln process with the core of cyclone preheater and precalciner, adopt the modern latest cement production process and equipment, which push the cement industry to a new stage.

  1. Traditional Cement Kiln

With the increasingly mature of refractory material production and using technology. In the wet process furnace , lepol furnace, dry-process kiln with preboiler, and with the production capacity of 1000t/d. Generally, the ordinary magnesia chrome brick or ordinary magnesia dolomite brick are used in the firing zone, phosphate –bonded high alumina bricks or ordinary high alumina brick  are used in transitional zone and cooling zone , clay bricks are used in other  process zone, and added small amount of carborundum bricks, thermal insulation material and refractory castables.

  1. New type dry-process cement kiln

New type dry-process cement kiln has the technological characteristics  of high kiln temperature, low kiln speed, serious corrosion resistance , complicated structure and high requirement of energy saving, which update the refractory material and using technology.

Generally speaking, in the large scale sp kiln and pc kiln, direct-bonded magnesia chrome bricks used in fired zone, magnesia spinel brick or magnesia chrome brick with good thermal shock resistance property are used in transitional zone, high alumina bricks used in the clacining zone, insulation alkali resistance clay brick or probationary refractory brick are used in kiln above all front and hind nozzle.

In preheating system, ordinary alkali resistance clay bricks and alkali resistance castable are used in vault, high strength alkali resistance clay bricks are used in tertiary air duct and matched with a large amount of refractory castables, series insulation bricks and series calcium silicate board. In kiln cover and chiller system, beside the above using materials, also matched with silica carbon brick, carbon silica composite brick, series insulation brick, series refractory castables, series calcium silica board and refractory fibrous material and so on.

Current common refractory material in cement industry

  1. Basic Refractory material: direct-bonded magnesia chrome, Semi-direct combination of magnesium-chrome brick, ordinary magnesia chrome, magnesia dolomite brick, various magnesia brick with zirconium or without zirconium, spinel brick and chemical co mbination unfired magnesia-chrome brick, etc.
  2. High alumina brick: phosphate-bonded high alumina brick, phosphate-bonded high alumina abrasive brick, anti-stripping high alumina brick, chemical combination( special type) high alumina brick and ordinary high alumina brick.
  3. Series alkali resistance brick: ordinary alkali resistance brick, high strength alkali resistance brick, alkali resistance insulation brick and arched alkali resistance brick.
  4. Series refractory castables: corundum castables, high alumina castabes, alkali resistance castables, light weight castabes.
