Fused Rebonded Magnesia Chrome Bricks Applications
Fused rebonded magnesia chrome bricks and semi-rebonded magnesia chrome bricks are widely used in parts of metallurgical furnaces where corrosion is severest, such as out furnace refinery equipment, AOD furnace tuyere, RH furnace vacuum chamber lower part groove and dipping pipe, VOD furnace slag line, heavy nonferrous metals converters tuyere zone, flash furnace reaction tower, settling pond, anode furnace slag line, isa furnace slag line, basic refractory material kiln high temperature zone, etc.
Chemical Bonded Magnesia Chrome Bricks
Chemical bonded magnesia chrome bricks adopt ordinary magnesia sand and chromite as raw material, added with chemical binding agent and heat treated in low temperature. Chemical bonded magnesia chrome bricks are also called unburned magnesia chrome bricks. Unburned magnesia chrome bricks can realize sintering when they are used in industrial thermal kilns and furnaces and embody slag corrosion resistance and high temperature performance. As the working temperature can’t support ideal temperature for thorough sintering and there are high impurity in binders, unburned magnesia chrome brick’s high temperature performance is not as good as burned magnesia chrome brick, but the price is relatively lower, which can be used in furnaces such as wet method rotary cement kiln, electric furnace wall where working condition is not so drastic.
Fused Cast Magnesia Chrome Bricks
Fused cast magnesia chrome bricks have better high temperature strength, abrasion resistance, slag corrosion, mechanical performance resistance than chemical bonded magnesia chrome bricks and sintered magnesia chrome bricks. But fused cast basic refractory bricks have the advantages of poor thermal stability, expensive price and high energy consumption. Fused cast magnesia chrome brick is usually used at places where slag corrosion, abrasion, and scouring are severe. When it is used in continuous working furnaces, the effect will be better. Reaction tower side wall and settling pond slag line of nonferrous metal smelting flash furnaces are places where fused cast magnesia chrome bricks are mostly used.
